Busting At The Seams

I went with my parents to Cirque de Soleil today. Awesome show. Afterwards, they hopped in my car to drive over to a restaurant for dinner. As soon as we started my dad noticed the car seemed wobbly. I guess I have noticed my car vibrating more on the freeway, but I thought it was just the road. Anyway, we get to the restaurant and he has me drive slow in the parking lot so he can look at the tires. He saw the tiring bulging on the back right so we took out the spare tire and began to change it while we waited for our table. Once we got the tire off this is what we saw:

Not sure how my tire hasn't exploded before today. Somehow my dad always seems to be there to catch these things right before they turn bad. Thanks dad!

The Drive-In

So, Indiana Jones is back, and Lisa has planned a trip to the theater to celebrate. But we won't be going to just any theater, oh no. We are going to the drive-in!

We've gotten a lot of people in our ward interested in going. I personally am looking forward to this! (Well, I was excited enough to create the above "advertisement") I wanted to wear appropriate apparel but they just haven't had my size in stock. Well, sour grapes: it's hard to actually watch a movie with a hat on anyway, right?

A Touch of South America

Nick went to Venezuela on his mission and the other day he was craving some Venezuelan food. So, he tried his hand at making me a traditional dish. It's called Pabellón Criollo, and it was sooo good. It has rice, a pulled beef, fried plantains, and this really good bean dish that has cilantro in it. Luckily he made lots and we had leftovers for a few days. Here's some pics of what it looked like.
